Goals & Accomplishments
The Annual Fine Art & Craft Fair plus High School Student Art Contest is hosted by Harmony Center on the third weekend in October. This is a fundraising event, sharing proceeds with the a local charity partner. During the past several years we have awarded over $7,000 in cash and prizes to student artists, raised more than $7,000 for our charity partners, and welcomed nearly thousands of shoppers who visited our fair to purchase art and crafts from local artists & artisan exhibitors. We are committed to quality and sharing with our community. Interfaith Food Center to Benefit The Interfaith Food Center is our selected charity partner for 2019. Located in Santa Fe Springs and has been the primary provider of food services to the neediest residents of Whittier and the surrounding areas for 30 years. Additionally, IFC provides daily sack lunches and basic toiletries to those facing challenges finding housing and shelter. IFC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter Past Charity Partner. The Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter has been our alternate charity partner in past years. WCCS to providing safety, shelter and hope to victims of domestic violence. Founded in 1978 on the belief that everyone has the right to a violence-free environment; that physical, emotional, or psychological violence has no place in healthy relationships. WCCS programs operate on a 24-hour basis free-of-charge.WCCS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Harmony Center Hosts Harmony Center for Spiritual Living has been in Whittier since 1956, and is a member of the Whittier Chamber of Commerce, the Whittier Uptown Association, and an annual host to Wake Up Whittier breakfast meeting.
