![]() Tuesday, November 5 our Fine Art & Craft Fair committee along with Rev. Shawn Kindorf presented a check for $1000 to the Interfaith Food Center. We'd like to thank IFC for partnering with us this year and for all the work they do in the Whittier area. ![]() This year's fair was a great success! Thanks to over 55 local sponsors, 45 vendors, over 900 shoppers, hours of time put in by volunteers we were able to raise $8000! We look forward to seeing you all again next year! ![]() We'd like to thank the 54 students from eight local high schools that participated in this year's High School Art Contest. And thank you to all of our sponsors that allowed us to give over $1000 in cash and prizes to these talented artists. Below are the names and works of the winners: ![]() Dennis McGonagle, MFA is this year's judge for the High School Art Contest. Mcgonagle is a local landscape artist and muralist. In 2006 he painted the mural on the Whittier Museum. He is also known as the artist of the Whittier phone book covers from 1987 to 1997. He has been working as a teacher and visual arts mentor in the Whittier Elementary School District for the past ten years. Coming soon will be our list of vendors. Stay tuned!
